4 STEPS TO PERFECT BROWS

It is really exciting to know that only in two hours you'll be able to have the wished eyebrows that for many years you thought you could never have and... YAY!!! It is possible now!... you spent hours looking for information, looking for the perfect artist, a reasonable price and when the appointment is finally booked you wonder..."wait, how is it gonna be? is it gonna hurt? what if I don't like the shape? for how long the healing process is gonna be?" and well yes, you realize you know nothing yet! That's the reason why today I would like to explain in 4 simple steps how is the complete process in the first session of MICROBLADING.

The average duration for a first session of MICROBLADING last two hours which I divide in 4 simple main steps taking about 30 min for each one:

1. Pre-numbing: The pre-numbing normally takes 30 min and is a step that no artist should skip because the area of the eyebrows is very sensitive, this simple step consist on cleaning the brows area of makeup, natural oils of the skin or any other impurity that might cause an infection in the skin during the blading process and then proceed to apply a thick layer of numbing cream and protect with plastic for a better absorption. This is absolutely going to help during the first 10 min of the blading.

2. Shaping: Is absolutely the MOST important step because you get to choose the color, the style, thickness, hight and length of you eyebrows... Your artist should draw the new eyebrows on BEFORE do anything permanent on your face, shaping the brows mostly based on your facial features and on you face shape. The thickness is something you can decide by yourself but you can always ask your artist to go little by little until you get the perfect thickness for your eyebrows. this might take from 10 to 30 minutes max, since is a really important step you should take it slow because of this depends the results you gonna get.

3. First blading: Yes, we are there already.... this is half the way but this is where everything starts to get serious. The artist should show you the micro-blade that is going to use to do the strokes of your brows, it should be new, the artist must wear gloves and a protector mask around nose and mouth. Since you don't know what to expect try to relax while laying down and close your eyes, the artist is going to do the first strokes and let you know about it or ask you if you feel any discomfort, it is normal to feel the little scratches and the level of discomfort will depend on the condition of the skin either is sensitive or not. This should last no more than 10 to 20 min for both eyebrows, this is only to draw the firsts strokes and help the artist not to lose the shape after cleaning the area to apply the second numbing. After the first blading is done, the artist should apply numbing gel on the "open skin" letting it sit for 7 to 10 min, this is gonna stop any burning sensation and is necessary to continue the process.

4. Detailing: The "worst part" is behind and your skin has absorbed the second numbing, theres still 30 min to go and your brows are ready to shine! The artist now is gonna fill in your brows doing the remaining strokes and fixing the details, he/she might show you the progress to ask your opinion and fix something that you'd like! YES at this point it is a reality, you see hair strokes and a beautiful shape, everything was worth it...but is very important to look really close at your new eyebrows, ask if you see something wrong, look for symmetry and length and only if your happy with the results let the artist finish the process by applying the last touch of pigment (ink) and letting sit for 7 to 10 min, in the meantime the artist should explain very clearly all the aftercare instructions for you to be able to get the best results for your brows.

Those are the main steps for a successful microblading process and keep in mind that the time of the procedure depends on you and the artist, also remember you should feel happy with the shape before the first blading starts because when you go too thick or dark you can not go back, instead I recommend you to go little by little, another important fact is to remember everybody has a different skin and the level of pain is different for each client. The final results always depend on the aftercare methods.

I hope this information helps you know more about the process and replied some of the many questions you have on mind if you are thinking on getting your eyebrows done by this amazing technique!
